Ooooby Supply Coordinator


Food Commons Fresno is a fresh, fun, and comprehensive local food project. We seek passionate individuals to join our team.

Join us! We are searching for a Supply Coordinator to contribute to Ooooby Fresno, our local produce delivery service. The Ooooby Supply Coordinator will work with local and regional farms to provide the most wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables to weekly Ooooby subscribers. Ooooby consists of a very dynamic team and roles can shift as needed. Successful candidates must have willingness to expand their responsibilities and take on additional training to grow with the team.



  • Build relationships with local and regional growers, artisans, and other food suppliers and represent the organization in negotiations.

  • Research available fresh produce and food products.

  • Place supply orders and set Ooooby box contents each week to offer fresh, diverse, and highest quality affordable produce.

  • Verify produce received matches order in quantity and quality.

  • Lead quality control by personally and frequently verifying that customers are receiving the best quality produce.

  • Publish box and produce availability to customers.

  • Support produce packing team with answers to supply questions.

  • Ensure positive customer and colleague interaction with good working relationships and contributes to Ooooby team success.

  • Collaborate with Food Commons Fresno to fulfill regular wholesale produce orders in tandem with Ooooby supply coordination.



  • Take responsibility for the brand promise and provide exceptional service at all times.

  • Be familiar with and have a sound knowledge of Ooooby’s products, services and policies.

  • Attend and contribute to training sessions and meetings.

  • Exercise responsible behavior at all times and positively represent Ooooby.

  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with colleagues, partners, customers and public.

  • Learn about other Ooooby roles and other areas of business operations.

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.


All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent substantial experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • High comfort level with computers, common software programs and applications, and online tools with willingness to build skills.

  • Passionate about local food system development in the Fresno region.

  • Flexibility and ability to work in a complex and dynamic start-up environment with balance and a healthy sense of humor.

  • Highly accountable and high level of self-initiation.


Strong preference will be given to applicants with the following attributes:

  • Significant previous administrative or operating experience in food or farming businesses.

  • Significant previous experience in a management or procurement role.

  • Familiarity with standard produce packs, sizing, and ratings.

  • Experience/skill with spreadsheets, accounting and reconciliation.

  • Experience with digital communication and team collaboration tools.

  • Experience with print and digital media design and layout.

  • Multilingual.



  • 10-20 hours a week to start (flexible but likely Monday and Wednesday mornings, longer hours Tuesday and Friday).

  • Compensation based on experience.

  • Opportunity to increase hours and pay may become available by the end of the year with positive job review.
